Why hasn't my background check been processed yet? – Help Center

Sterling typically processes background checks between 1 to 10 days, but on rare occasions, the process can take up to a few weeks.

Occasionally, Sterling will need some additional information from you in order to verify your identity and complete the check. If this happens, Sterling will email you directly requesting more information.

Additional information

Background checks are only part of the profile review process. Once your background check is approved, Rover will review your sitter profile as well. Learn more here.
Some background checks require manual review from our team. In this case, the approval process may take longer.
Background checks are nonrefundable.
