How do I book a training bundle with a client?

If you provide dog training services on Rover, you can price your services by individual training sessions, or you can offer a group of pre-paid training sessions, which we call training bundles. . Bundles allow you to offer a more tailored, long-term support plan for your clients based on their pet’s specific needs.

You can create a bundle based on skills you teach,  course length, or the dog’s age and temperament (e.g.  “Basic manners,” a “6-session package,” or “Puppy training.”)

How does my client book a bundle?

Booking a bundle is similar to booking any other service on Rover. From your sitter profile, the client will click Contact, then complete a form specifying their training needs. From here, they’ll see an option to select from the list of bundle types you offer and book their first session. Here’s what this looks like:

You can review the request details and decide if it’s a good fit. If the requested time doesn’t work for you, let your client know through Rover Messages so you can agree on a time that works for the both of you

  3. To edit all session prices, change the price under Customize booking.
  4. To edit one session price, under Extras and Adjustments enter a positive or negative amount to increase or decrease the total bundle cost.

Additional FAQs

Can I turn a single booked session into a bundle?

Yes, if a client sends you a request for a single session and you both agree a bundle is more appropriate, you can edit the session type to be a bundle.

Can I use bundles to provide virtual training?

By default, all training sessions are in-person, but you’re welcome to provide both virtual consultations and training. Just be sure to make it clear in your profile that you provide virtual services, so clients know what to expect.

I want to offer a free consultation to clients before a bundle. How do I do this?

You’re welcome to provide free consultations. While it’s not currently possible to schedule free training services on Rover, if you’d like to offer a free consultation, wait to receive a request from a client, then reach out to them in Rover Messages to agree on a date and time for a free consultation.

Note: If you require a paid consultation, clients should book these as they normally would via the Contact page.
