Inbox
How do I view and manage requests from my Rover account?

You can view all of your conversations with sitters from the Inbox section of your Rover account based on the status of your booking. Here’s a list of different sections:

  • Pending requests: These are unbooked requests that haven't been confirmed by the sitter yet.
  • Upcoming bookings: This shows all of your confirmed, upcoming bookings that you've paid for.
  • Current bookings: This shows any active care your sitter is providing for the day.
  • Past bookings: This is a history of all of your previous bookings with sitters.
  • Archived requests: This shows a list of bookings that you or the sitter cancelled

Note: Some of these inbox categories are only viewable while signed in from a computer. We hope to make all of these sections viewable on the Rover app in the future

To view your inbox from a computer, sign in and select the conversation icon. You can view messages in one view by selecting All conversations, or you can filter by booking status.

To view these inbox categories from the Rover app, tap Inbox. At the top, tap Pending or Upcoming to see your requests and upcoming bookings. You can view your previous requests and bookings by tapping the folder icon at the top of the app. From here, you can view past bookings and unfulfilled and cancelled requests in the Past/Archived sections.

Additional information about pending requests

Pending requests are unbooked requests that haven't been confirmed by the sitter yet.

  • At this time, it isn't possible to cancel or archive pending requests from your account. If the sitter hasn't confirmed the request yet and your plans changed, please contact them directly via Rover Messages and they can cancel the request.

  • Any request that isn't booked will expire 72 hours after the requested service dates have passed. Expired requests will move to the Archived section of your inbox.
