How do I troubleshoot the Rover app?

If the Rover app stops working, try these troubleshooting tips to get back on track:

Update the app

Make sure you’re using the latest version of the app by heading over to your device’s app store and checking for updates. Here’s how to do this on an iPhone or Android phone:

iPhone

  1. Open the App Store.
  2. Tap Updates at the bottom of the screen.
  3. If an update is available, tap Update next to the Rover app.

Android

  1. Open the Play Store.
  2. Search “Rover.
  3. If an update is available, you’ll see the option to tap Update.

Power your phone off and on

It may sound simple, but sometimes just powering your phone off and back on is all that’s needed to get any app back in order.

Uninstall and reinstall the app

If the issue continues, try uninstalling and reinstalling the Rover app. Here’s how to do this on an iPhone or Android phone:

iPhone

  1. Tap and hold the Rover app icon until it starts wiggling.
  2. Tap the x.
  3. Tap Delete to uninstall.
  4. To reinstall, open the App Store.
  5. Search “Rover.”
  6. Tap Get to reinstall.

Android

  1. Open the Play Store.
  2. Search “Rover.
  3. Tap uninstall.
  4. Tap install to reinstall.
