What information does Rover share?

Rover is committed to establishing a safe, worry-free environment that protects the privacy of sitters and pet parents alike.

For this reason, Rover uses relay numbers, before and after a service has been booked so that your actual phone number remains private. In some cases—when arranging a Meet & Greet, for example—a sitter or pet parent may choose to share an address or phone number before a service has been booked to ensure they're able to meet in person.

Even after the service has been booked, Rover maintains a strict policy. A sitter’s address will only be displayed if the service is scheduled to take place at the sitter’s home.

For more information about how information is shared, read our Rover Privacy Policy.

Keep in mind that opting out of these choices won’t opt you out of previously “sold” or “shared” personal information or stop all interest-based advertising.
