What is reservation protection?

It doesn’t happen often, but if the sitter or dog walker you booked has to cancel at the last minute, we’ll work with you to find a new sitter or dog walker.

  • If a sitter or dog walker cancels your booking within seven days of your service start date, we'll give you a refund.

  • We’ll also provide $20 to help cover the cost of the new service.

  • If any day of your booking falls on one of our recognized holiday dates and a sitter or walker cancels the booking within 14 days of the service start date, we’ll also give you a refund. Here are the holiday rates for 2022:

    Presidents' Day Feb 18 - 21
    Memorial Day May 27 - 30
    4th of July July 3 - 5
    Labor Day Sep 2 - 5
    Indigenous Peoples' Day Won't apply in 2022
    Thanksgiving Nov 24 - 27
    Christmas and New Year's Day Dec 23 - Jan 1

Note: If the booking is canceled by the pet care provider because of a lack of information from the pet owner or pet aggression, then the owner will have to cover the full cost of any new reservation.
