What should I do if I’m running late for a Rover Now booking?

Currently, Rover Now is only available in select cities. Learn more about Rover Now here.

Rover Now walks and drop-ins are a bit different from other services on Rover, because you often won’t meet your clients in person before the scheduled service. To build trust with your client and ensure that you they have a positive experience with the Rover Now service, it’s important that you arrive on time for all of your booked services.

If you’re running late, please do the following:

Be communicative with the client, even if you’re running late by a few minutes. Keeping the owner actively informed is a great way to earn their trust and demonstrate that you’re doing everything you can to care for their dog in a timely manner.

Stay in communication with Rover. If you haven’t started the booking by the scheduled time, Rover Support will check in with you via text message. Please respond and let us know your estimated arrival time. This will allow us to assist both you and your client if necessary.

Note: If we don’t hear back from you within 30 minutes, we may need to cancel the booking to ensure your client receives timely care.
