How do I become a pet sitter or dog walker on Rover?

Note: We’re currently testing a new signup experience for a small group of providers. If the directions don’t match what you’re seeing while signing up, then visit this article instead. 

Welcome, fellow dog lover! We’re so glad you want to join our pack. You can start your Rover sitter/walker profile on a computer, mobile browser or from the Rover appJust follow the steps outlined below.

iPhone (iOS)

  1. Tap More at the bottom of your screen.
  2. Tap Become a Rover sitter or walker.
  3. Tap Get Started to begin your profile, or to learn more about becoming a RoverGO sitter, select Learn More.

Android

  1. Tap the hamburger bar menu in the upper left corner of the screen.
  2. Tap Become a Rover sitter or walker.
  3. Tap Get Started to begin your profile, or to learn more about becoming a RoverGO sitter, select Learn More. 

 Computer

1. Select the Become a Sitter link at the top of the page, then select Get Started.

2. If you have an existing Rover account, sign in. If not, create a new account.

3. Build your profile. For tips on how to make your profile stand out, go here.

4. Once your profile is complete and submitted, it'll be sent to our Sitter Team for review.

Next steps

  • Keep an eye on your email—our profile experts may ask you to modify a few things to make your profile the best it can be.

  • You'll typically hear from us within five business days and we’ll notify you via email if your profile is approved.

  • Once your profile is approved and your background check has been passed, your sitter services will be live in the Rover marketplace and pet owners will be able to contact you.
